The law is that which is. It is carved in stone to stand against time and its changes.
‘The Law’ is set and exact. Unlike ‘Law’.
Although it has much to do with the exactitude of the Law, Law is essentially a human activity. It is about more than just applying the Law, it is about understanding it, accepting it and using it as a way to make changes.
Litigation is not what Law is really about, not aggression and conflict. These are simply a collateral part of its true purpose: balancing the scales. Law is about finding agreement. Where there is no agreement, there can be no justice; and where there is no justice, like anything written in stone, the Law will sink.
