Career
Bruno Teixeira Peixoto is a partner who works in Environmental Law, Climate Litigation, Corporate Integrity and ESG for Cabanellos Advocacia.
He operates in the area of Environmental Law, focusing on social, environmental and climate cases and implementing ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) and Compliance structures and programs.
He is a researcher who is a member of research groups on Environmental Law, Ecological Politics and Public Law at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (PPGD-UFSC), and Corporate Climate Litigation at the University of São Paulo (FD-USP).
He has worked on several projects and initiatives relating to Advocacy on the Environment, the Climate and Sustainability (ESG). He is an Expert for the “Harmony with Nature – Knowledge Network Experts” for the UN. He received the José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva national award, from the Brazilian Environmental Law Congress, in 2017 and 2019.
He acts as the manager for Integrity and Compliance for the Comptroller General of the State of Santa Catarina (CGE-SC), managing the implementation of Santa Catarina’s Integrity and Compliance program.
He is the author of the book, “Compliance in Environmental Law: licensing, ESG and regulation”, published by Fórum in 2023.
